Mission Statement

Share, Equip, and Serve

Our mission here at Trinity is to be “a caring, welcoming family of believers sharing God's love by equipping every generation to serve all people as Jesus did for us.”
To that end, we believe that every person should use the talents, gifts, and abilities they have been given by God in service to Him and to others.
Looking at what this mission calls us to do, we at Trinity:
Share - We have been blessed with the love of God and we want others to know His love for them. We share out of the abundant blessings given to us.
Equip - At our church and school we equip all generations of Christians to become better disciples of Jesus Christ.
Serve - As disciples of Jesus Christ we are called to serve one another just as Jesus served us.

Core Values

The core values of Trinity Lutheran Church are based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
1. We are justified (made right with God) through faith in Jesus Christ.
2. The Holy Spirit works through Word and Sacrament.
3. We gather as a group of believers to help each member grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to be equipped to witness to others about Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and to be a place where those who seek God’s grace and mercy will find it.
We believe that God loved us so much that He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to take our sins upon Himself, die for us, and rise again proclaiming His victory over death and securing an eternal home in Heaven for all who believe in Him. We call ourselves Lutheran.  That means we follow the teachings of Martin Luther who believed that our response to salvation through the saving grace of Jesus Christ should be reflected in everything we say, everything we do, and everything we teach.
What do we teach? Here are the basics:

Grace Alone

Scripture Alone

Faith Alone

God loves the people of the world, even though we are all sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love.  He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.

John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him

Romans 3:23-24 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."
The Bible is God’s own Word in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ.  It is the only place we go to determine Christian doctrine.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."

Galatians 1:8 "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed."
Jesus's suffering and death is the substitute for all people of all time. He purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers.  God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.

Romans 1:17 "For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, 'The righteous shall live by faith.'"

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."
