Frequently Asked Questions

What Do I Wear?
There isn’t a dress code here at Trinity. Some of our members wear jeans and others wear button down shirts and dresses.

Are you going to ask me for money?
We offer an opportunity for giving during our worship services, but we are just glad you are joining us for worship! If you have a home church, we encourage you to give there, but if you feel moved to give during our service then you are welcome to do so.

Is your church handicap accessible?
Yes, we have an elevator in the main entrance to our church closest to the parking lot. Enter through the double doors and you’ll find the elevator to the right of the stairs.

How long does each service last?
The services are typically one hour long. Depending on communion, extra announcements, or a special circumstances could add 10 - 15 minutes.

What services do you offer for children?
Children's Sunday School is offered at 9:15 AM each week, from September through May. Children's Sunday School is located in our day school across the parking lot from the sanctuary. During the Sunday morning service, a children’s message is shared. There is also a family room near the rear of the sanctuary with toys, a pack and play, and a changing table.

What is your policy on communion?
The following is our agreement before coming to the Lord’s table for communion: “God has welcomed me into the body of Christ through Baptism, and I trust in Jesus Christ as my savior. I confess my sin and my need for God’s grace. I desire to live a new life in Christ who I believe is truly present in the Sacrament. In the bread, I receive His body and in the wine I receive His blood. Present in this Sacrament are the gifts of forgiveness of sin, life, and salvation."

How is communion presented?
Most often, an usher will motion for a pew to begin coming up to the altar for a walking communion. During walking communion, you will come up the aisle to receive both the bread and the wine from pastor and our deacons. The wine is offered both in the common cup as well as individual cups; there is also grape juice in the center for those that prefer. If you are bringing children with you as you walk through communion, pastor will often extend a prayer for them as they come forward. If you or a loved one is unable to come up for walking communion, just let an usher know and they will bring it right to your seat, so you don’t miss out on sharing in the Lord’s supper. At certain services, we have communion at the altar rail. During this time, an usher will invite your pew up to the communion rail and once it is filled, everyone will kneel before the altar to receive the Lord’s supper.
