Mid-Week Message with Pastor Krueger 7/10/2020

H O D G E   P O D G E

Hello to all!  I hope everyone is surviving this crazy heat wave we’ve been
experiencing.  No long message today, just a few thoughts and tid-bits (not
Timbits!) to share…..

“PPP”  “Pandemic – Protests – Politics”  The times, they are a changing…
and then some.  They are troubling, confusing and chaotic.  Don’t dwell on
these things too much.  I’m a bit of a news junkie myself but have found I
have to exercise a different kind of distancing, so to speak.  I have to
avoid much of the political-media driven news.  Turn the television off.
Limit your time on the internet.  Spend a little more time in prayer and the
Word!  Trust in the One who promises, “no evil shall be allowed to befall
you, no plague will come near your tent.” (Psalm 91:10)

4.1 million!!!!  No that’s not a COVID related statistic.  That’s the
gigantic number of children in the small country Haiti that are practically
starving to death and have no idea where or when their next meal will come
from.  Think about that when you BBQ this week-end or get a fish fry
tonight.   Join Team Hope!   Go to missionofhope.com to see how you can
help.

Camp Pioneer – As you know, after 75 years of wonderful ministry on the
shores of Lake Erie, Camp Pioneer will be closing after Labor Day Week-end
and the property be put up for sale.  A special Thank-Celebration event is
in the works for early October.  Also, Trinity is hoping to have a worship
service and church picnic at Pioneer on August 23rd which hasn’t been
confirmed yet.  I’ll keep you posted on these upcoming events.

While no definite decision has been made yet, it looks like we will continue
our Sunday morning Drive-In Worship Services through the month of August.
In addition we are looking to open the church building on Thursday evenings
in August for worship as we record the online video service.  More details
will be shared on coming back into the church for worship.  Online services
will continue to be posted on our website.

Blessings to all!
Pastor Dennis Krueger
